Sustainable Energy Hawaii (SEH) is governed by a Board of Directors and directed by a Steering Committee.

Dave DeLuz, Jr.

Board Member

Dave De Luz, Jr. is a successful business entrepreneur, rancher, and a 3rd generation Big Islander. He brings his broad-based experience to SEH which includes having served on multiple committees for Hawaii County in the areas of energy and sustainable land use.

Richard Ha

Board Chair

Richard is a tireless advocate for Hawaii, agriculture, energy and the community. Formerly he was one of Hawaii's best farmers helping move the needle for local food production in bananas, cucumber and tomatoes while protecting our food security.

Peter Sternlicht

Board Treasurer

Peter has 40 years’ experience in media, advertising, videography and marketing. As former Exec. VP at Technicolor, Peter designed and built their first commercial digital motion picture mastering lab helping to launching the age of non-film, digital cinema.

Jerry Chang

Board Member

Jerry Leslie Chang served for 24 years in the Hawaii House of Representatives. He chaired the committees on Tourism and Culture, Higher Education and Water and Land. Served as the Director of University Relations at UH Hilo for 6 years. He is a consultant and realtor in Hilo, and served in the U. S. Army 7th Special Forces Group (ABN).

Rodrigo Romo

Board Member

Rodrigo Romo is the Director at the Pacific International Space Center for Exploration Systems (PISCES). Besides overseeing PISCES’ operations, he has been directly involved with the development of PISCES’ planetary exploration rover. Other areas in which he has been involved includes robotic construction and utilization of Hawaiian Basalt as a source for ISRU manufacturing.

Noelani Kalipi

Board Secretary

Ms. Noelani Kalipi assists clients with project development and management, with specific emphasis on strategic planning, project implementation, and meaningful community engagement.

Noel Morin

Board Vice Chair

Noel is a Silicon Valley product management veteran. He is a small business owner, climate action advocate, and a supporter of sustainable transportation and renewable energy.
